And honestly?

It starts way earlier than most people think.

The First Sign of Fall Isn't the Weather

For most people, Halloween starts when the decorations hit the stores.

For crafters?

It usually starts with an idea.

A new wreath design.

A color palette.

A ribbon you absolutely didn't need but somehow ended up buying anyway.

Long before the temperatures change, our brains are already creating.

And if you're anything like me, you've probably caught yourself thinking about pumpkins while everyone else is still planning summer vacations.

Halloween Gives Creatives Permission to Have Fun

One of my favorite things about Halloween is that there are no rules.

You can be spooky.

Vintage.

Witchy.

Halloween is one of the few seasons where creativity gets to take center stage, and I think that's why so many makers and crafters love it.

It's playful.

Maybe it's the colors.

Maybe it's the anticipation of fall.

Maybe it's the memories attached to it. (My mom’s favorite Holiday by far!)
