The Exact Tools I Use as a Social Media Manager + Creator for my own business
If you’ve ever wondered what tools you actually need to manage social media (without overcomplicating everything), I wanted to put together a full breakdown of what I personally use every single week.
Not the overwhelming list. Not the “you need 15 subscriptions to be successful” version.
Just what actually works for me as someone who creates content, runs a business, and works behind the scenes in social media.
This is exactly what I use week to week—but the strategy behind why it works is something I usually only share with my subscribers.
☕ My Approach to Tools (Simple > Complicated)
Before I get into specifics, I want to say this:
You do not need a million tools to be good at social media.
Most of what I use is simple, consistent, and easy to stick to—and that’s exactly why it works.
📝 Planning: Where Everything Starts
I am a pen and paper girl through and through.
Every week starts with:
a weekly planner (for a clear visual on what I have scheduled)
a daily planner (For planning and breaking down each day)
and a notebook for brain dumps
This is where all my ideas live first.
Content ideas, client work, things I need to film, random thoughts—it all goes on paper before it goes anywhere else.
There’s just something about writing things out that helps me see everything clearly and actually stay on track.
📅 Posting & Scheduling: Keeping Everything Organized
For scheduling and managing content, I use Zoho Social.
This is what helps me:
plan posts ahead of time
stay consistent
manage multiple accounts
see everything in one place
I like it because it’s straightforward and doesn’t feel overwhelming.
If you’re someone who struggles with consistency, having a scheduler like this makes a huge difference.
🎬 Editing: Keeping It Clean but Effective
For editing, I use a mix of:
CapCut is great for quick, everyday content and keeping things simple.
Premiere Pro is what I use when I want more control or I’m working on something a little more detailed.
You don’t need both when you’re starting—but having options as you grow definitely helps.
📊 Analytics: Understanding What’s Actually Working
I also use Zoho Social for analytics, which keeps everything in one place.
This is where I look at:
what content is performing well
what people are engaging with
what’s actually worth continuing
This step is where a lot of people get stuck.
They’re posting consistently, but they’re not adjusting based on what’s working—and that’s where growth slows down.
(This is actually something I go really deep into during my audits.)
🎥 My Filming Setup (Simple but Effective)
My setup is honestly pretty simple, but it works.
I use:
a neck tripod (for hands-free angles)
My iPhone
That’s it.
You don’t need a huge, complicated setup to create good content—you just need something that makes filming easier and more consistent.
✨ What Actually Matters (More Than the Tools)
At the end of the day, the tools aren’t the most important part.
It’s how you use them.
You can have all the right apps and still feel stuck if you don’t have a clear plan or strategy behind what you’re doing.
And that’s usually where I see people struggle the most.
💬 If You’re Feeling Stuck…
If you’re using tools like these but still not seeing growth, it’s usually not a tools problem—it’s a strategy problem.
That’s exactly what I focus on in my social media audits and 1:1 calls.
We go through:
what you’re currently doing
what’s working (and what’s not)
and how to actually fix it in a way that makes sense for you
If that’s something you’ve been needing, you can check out my services here or reach out to me directly—I’d love to help you figure it out.

💌 If You Want More Support With This…
I’m opening a subscription-based social media training group on Facebook on April 15th, where I’ll be going deeper into everything I talked about here—especially the strategy side that most people are missing.
This isn’t about more tools.
It’s about:
understanding what to post and why
building a system that actually works for you
and getting consistent without feeling overwhelmed
If you’ve been feeling stuck or like you’re doing “all the right things” but not seeing results, this is exactly what I built it for.
